Museum Visit

Yesterday's adventure was the English tour of the Asia Society's latest display.  The kids and I really enjoyed seeing this and learning about Caravaggio's life and painting style.  Another pleasant surprise was the other local artists featured at the gallery.  One display featured a nice remake of Caravaggio's "Conversion on the Way to Damascus."  Jason particularly liked it because it featured a "Playmobile" horse and then the Monkey King fell off of it because his hat was too tight while a Buddha chants in the corner.  The odd thing is that the artist put his face on the Buddha and the Monkey King. Jason really enjoyed the humor!  We will be reading more about the Monkey King! caravaggio1a.jpg
